Can I use Bake3D characters commercially?

Short answer

Yes, once you pay. Anything you make after buying a credit pack, or while you have a Pro or Studio plan, comes with a commercial, royalty-free license. It stays valid after you stop paying.

In more detail

You can use those characters in games, films, apps, products, client work and ads, and you can sell work that uses them. The full rules are in section 5 of the terms.

A few things to know:

  • Accounts made before October 4, 2026 got free sign-up credits. Anything made with only those credits, before any purchase, is for personal use. Bake it again after a purchase to get the commercial license.
  • You must have the right to use the picture you upload. If it shows a trademarked character or someone else's art, the license does not cover that.
  • Other people may get similar results from similar pictures. The license does not promise that your character is one of a kind.

The 4 characters on our free 3D models page use a different license, CC BY 4.0. Anyone may use them, also to make money, as long as they credit Bake3D.
