What are credits, and do they expire?

Short answer

Credits are how you pay for each step, like building a model or writing a motion. Credits from packs never expire. Credits from a monthly plan are used first and do not roll over to the next month.

In more detail

You buy credits in packs, or get them each month with a plan. Every step shows its price in credits before you start it. Your balance goes down when the job is accepted.

If a step fails, or you cancel it before it finishes, every credit it took goes back to your balance on its own.

  • Pack credits stay in your account for as long as the account exists.
  • Plan credits arrive with each paid month and are spent before your other credits. What is left at the end of the month does not carry over, and they end when the plan ends.
  • Bonus credits, like the first-pack bonus or an invite reward, are taken back if the payment they came with is refunded.

Credits have no cash value, and you cannot move them to another account. At pack prices one credit costs from 4.8 to 6.25 US cents. Bigger packs cost less per credit.

Your account page shows your balance and your recent charges and refunds.
