Meshy AI Pricing Explained: Plans, Credits and Real Cost per Model
Meshy's pricing page shows plan prices, but not what a model will cost you. That depends on credits. This guide lists every Meshy plan, what each step costs in credits and what the free plan really includes. Then it works out the price of one game character, and runs the same example on Bake3D's prices so you can compare.

Short answer
Meshy has a free plan with 100 credits a month and paid plans from $20 a month (Pro, 1,000 credits) to $100 a month (Ultra, 8,000 credits). A textured model costs about 30 credits, and rigging and preset animations cost no credits in the web app. On Pro, that is about 60 cents a model if you use every credit. Free users cannot download Meshy 6 or 7 models.
How we checked this: We read Meshy's pricing page, help center, credits guide, web app and API docs and terms of use on 8 October 2026, and link them under Sources. We opened the pricing page in a browser, set it to US dollars and switched between monthly and yearly billing, for single users and for teams, to read every plan card. We did not buy a Meshy plan. Bake3D prices come from our own price list.
Meshy plans at a glance
Meshy sells plans with a set number of credits each month. Every task, such as making a model or painting a texture, uses some of them. All paid plans include the same core features: unlimited downloads, models you own, the API, plug-ins and more than 600 animations. The main thing that changes is how many credits you get.
These are the US prices we saw on 8 October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Credits a month | Yearly, first year | Tasks at once | Free retries per task |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 100 | $0 | 1 | None |
| Pro | $20 | 1,000 | $192 | 10 | 4 |
| Premium | $40 | 3,000 | $384 | 30 | 12 |
| Ultra | $100 | 8,000 | Not shown to us | 100 | 40 |
| Studio, for teams | From $70 | 5,500, shared | $672 | 60 | 24 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | 100 | 100 |
A few things the table does not show:
- “Up to 100 assets.” The Pro card says up to 100 assets a month. That counts the cheapest jobs. A textured model with Meshy’s newer models costs about 30 credits, so plan on about 33.
- Studio pools. Studio comes in three sizes: $70 for 5,500 credits, $210 for 16,800 or $350 for 28,000 a month. Meshy’s help center and its pricing card describe seat prices in different ways, so ask Meshy for a quote if you need many seats.
- Starter. Meshy also showed us a Starter plan at $10 a month for 250 credits. Its help center says Starter is only for some developing countries.
What each step costs in credits
Here is what Meshy charges for each step, from its web app docs, its credits guide and its API price list.
| Step | Web app | API |
|---|---|---|
| Shape, Meshy 6 or 7.1 | 20 | 20 |
| Ultra detail on the shape | +5 | +5 |
| Texture at 2K or 4K | 10 | 10 |
| Texture at 8K | 15 | 15 |
| Meshy 6 Lite, shape and texture | Not listed | 15 |
| Low-poly model (Smart Topology) | 5 | 5 |
| Remesh | 0 | 5 |
| Rig | 0 | 5, with a walk and a run |
| Each preset animation | 0 | 3 |
| Text to motion | 3 | 3 fast, 10 best quality |
| Repair for 3D printing | 10 | 10 |
| Download | 0 | 0 |
A textured model is the first two steps added up: 20 plus 10 is 30 credits. Meshy’s credits guide and its API price list both use that number. Its web app docs list 20 to 25 credits for the shape. The app shows the price next to each button before you click, so check there too.
Failed generations cost nothing. A task you cancel while it waits in the queue is refunded. A task that has already started is not.
What the free plan includes
The free plan is a real way to try Meshy, with a few limits that matter.
- 100 credits a month, reset on the 1st at 00:00 UTC. Unused credits do not carry over. That is about three textured models.
- One task at a time, at low priority.
- 20 animation presets instead of more than 600.
- 10 downloads a month, of Meshy 6 Lite models only. Models made with Meshy 6 or Meshy 7 cannot be downloaded on Free.
- A CC BY 4.0 license. You may use free models for business, but you must credit Meshy.
- No API, no plug-ins and no multi-picture input.
Meshy lists ways to earn more credits: 100 once for linking Discord, 50 for each model its team features, and daily login rewards worth up to 260 credits every 30 days. Earned credits do not expire. You can also buy a credit pack on Free. But Meshy’s help center says a pack adds credits, not a subscription, so it does not lift the download limit.
So Free is good for testing pictures and prompts. To download a Meshy 7.1 model, you need Pro or higher.
Monthly or yearly billing
Meshy’s two first-time offers work in different ways.
- Monthly. New subscribers get 50% off their first month of Pro, Premium or Ultra. On Pro, that saves $10.
- Yearly. The yearly list price is the same as 12 months: $240 a year for Pro. New users get 20% off the first year, so Pro is $192, about $16 a month. Studio was $672 for the first year, then $840. That saves $48 on Pro, but you pay for the year up front.
Yearly plans also showed 40% off extra credit packs, against 20% on monthly plans. Your credits still arrive and reset every month on a yearly plan. Meshy’s credits guide adds that renewal bonus credits, which start at 500 on Pro, only go to monthly Pro and Studio subscribers.
Credits: resets, roll-over and refunds
Credits follow a few rules that change what you really pay:
- Monthly credits top up, they do not stack. If you have 400 credits left on Pro when your month renews, Meshy adds 600, not 1,000.
- Bought and earned credits never expire. Meshy calls them permanent credits and spends your monthly credits first.
- If you cancel, monthly credits last until the end of the period you paid for. Permanent credits stay in your account.
- Refunds. Meshy’s pricing page says it generally does not refund payments, though you can email about a special case.
We could not see the price of extra credit packs. Meshy shows them only inside a signed-in account.
Commercial use by plan
| Plan | Who owns the model | Business use | Must credit Meshy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Meshy, licensed to you under CC BY 4.0 | Yes | Yes |
| Any paid plan | You | Yes | No |
| Posted to Meshy’s community | Public domain (CC0) | Anyone may use it | No |
Meshy’s terms of use, updated 19 September 2026, add two rules. You may not use Meshy models to train AI models that compete with Meshy. And Meshy may use what non-Enterprise customers upload and make to train and improve its service. Read the terms yourself if you work with client files. Our Meshy AI review covers the license and the rest of the product in more depth.
Worked example: one game character
Say you need one game character: a textured model from one picture, rigged, with a walk and a run, downloaded as an FBX file for Unity.
On Meshy, in the web app, on Pro:
- Shape with Meshy 7.1: 20 credits.
- Texture at 2K or 4K: 10 credits.
- Rig as a humanoid: 0 credits.
- Walk and run presets: 0 credits.
- FBX download: 0 credits.
That is 30 credits. On Pro, a credit costs 2 cents if you use all 1,000. So the character costs about 60 cents, and Pro covers about 33 of them a month. If a result is wrong, Pro gives 4 free retries per task. Through the API, the same character is 35 credits, because the rig step costs 5 and comes with a basic walk and run.
If your character is a four-legged animal, the steps are the same, but Meshy offers only a walk for it. There is no run for quadrupeds in its library.
The same example on Bake3D, our own tool:
- Model from one picture, at Standard quality: 40 credits.
- Rig for any body, with a four-second first motion: 25 credits.
- Walk and run presets, fitted to the legs: 0 credits.
- FBX download: 0 credits.
That is 65 credits. Packs start at $5 for 80 credits, and what one character costs depends on how you buy:
| How you buy | Price | Per character | Characters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single pack, 80 credits | $5 | $4.06 | 1 |
| Starter pack, 180 credits | $10 | $3.61 | 2 |
| Maker pack, 500 credits | $25 | $3.25 | 7 |
| Studio pack, 1,250 credits | $60 | $3.12 | 19 |
| Pro plan, 750 credits a month | $29 | $2.51 | 11 |
| Studio plan, 2,100 credits a month | $79 | $2.45 | 32 |
“Per character” is 65 credits at that option’s price per credit. You still pay for the whole pack, but pack credits never expire.
So on these numbers, a Meshy character costs less than a Bake3D character. The two jobs are not quite the same, though. Meshy’s rig picks from three body types, and its animal rig only walks. Bake3D plans the rig from the model’s own shape. It fits a walk, trot, run and jump to any number of legs, and you can describe new motion for 10 credits. Bake3D has no free credits, but the free demo and a free readiness check of your picture let you try it first. The full list is on the Bake3D pricing page.
Both run first-time offers. Meshy takes 50% off a first month. Bake3D adds 25% more credits to a first pack bought within 72 hours of signing up, and takes 50% off the first month of Pro.
How to spend fewer credits on Meshy
Meshy’s own credits guide has good tips:
- Check the shape before you pay for the texture. If the shape is wrong, retry it first.
- Use your free retries. Paid plans include several per task, and they cost no credits.
- Fix instead of starting over. A bad texture can be redone for 10 credits. A messy mesh can be remeshed for free in the web app.
- Skip Ultra detail and 8K textures for drafts. Turn them on for the final model.
- Cancel queued tasks you no longer need. Started tasks are not refunded.
The same habits help on any credit-based tool. If you want an animal or a machine that moves, start with a picture that shows the whole body. Our guide to a rigged 3D character from one image explains why.
Check before you buy
Three things can trip you up:
- Prices depend on where you are. Meshy showed us a Starter plan that its help center says is only for some countries, and its cards change with the currency you pick.
- Old prices are still around. Some comparison pages still list old Meshy plans, such as a $19 Starter plan with 200 credits or Pro at $49. On 8 October 2026, Meshy’s own pages showed the prices in this guide.
- Meshy’s pages do not always agree. Its plan guide says Ultra gives 8,000 credits a month, while its credit reset article says 10,000. Its web app docs list 20 to 25 credits for a shape, while its credits guide and API price list put a textured model at 30.
When in doubt, trust the price the app shows next to the button. For tools that price things differently, see our Meshy vs Tripo comparison and the wider list of Meshy alternatives.
Questions people ask
Is Meshy AI free?
There is a free plan with 100 credits a month and no card needed. That is enough for about three textured models. But on the free plan you can only download 10 models a month, and only ones made with Meshy 6 Lite. Free models are licensed CC BY 4.0, so you must credit Meshy.
How much does Meshy AI cost?
Pro is $20 a month for 1,000 credits, Premium $40 for 3,000 and Ultra $100 for 8,000. The Studio plan for teams starts at $70 a month for 5,500 shared credits. New subscribers get 50% off the first month, or 20% off the first year on yearly billing.
How many credits does one Meshy model cost?
About 30 credits for a textured model: 20 for the shape and 10 for the texture. Ultra detail adds 5, and an 8K texture costs 15 instead of 10. Rigging and preset animations cost no credits in the web app. Through the API, a rig is 5 credits and each extra clip 3.
Do Meshy credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits top up to your plan amount on your renewal date, so unused ones are lost. Credits you buy or earn are different. Meshy calls them permanent credits, and they never expire. Meshy spends your monthly credits first.
Can I get a refund from Meshy?
Meshy's pricing page says it generally does not refund payments, though you can email support about a special case. Failed generations cost no credits, and a task you cancel while it still waits in the queue is refunded.
Is Meshy cheaper than Bake3D?
Per model, yes. A textured, rigged character with two preset clips is about 30 credits on Meshy, or about 60 cents on Pro. The same job on Bake3D is 65 credits, about $2.51 on Pro or $5 with the Single pack. The jobs differ: Bake3D plans a rig for any body and makes motion from text, while Meshy gives four-legged animals only a walk.
